Joy Harmon: The Girl called "Lucille" by the chain gang in Cool Hand Luke

Joy Harmon was born in Flushing, New York on May 1, 1940. Harmon is best remembered as the car-washing girl "Lucille" in 1967's Cool Hand Luke, with Paul Newman. In that role Harmon plays a sexy, young woman who drives the chain gang crazy as she seductively washes her car on a hot summer day.

Joy was a runner-up for Miss Connecticut, standing at 5 ft 5 inches with bombshell measurements of 41½-22-36. Groucho Marx discovered Joy as a guest on You Bet Your Life. Marx later invited to work with him on Tell It To Groucho. TV exposure lead Joy into roles in films Village of the Giants and Cool Hand Luke. During the 1960's Joy guest-starred on several TV series, including Gidget, Batman, and The Monkees.

Harmon retired from acting to get married and start a family. Baking has always been a favorite pastime and she since started Aunt Joy's Cakes. She first started sharing her treats in Disney studios and now operates Aunt Joy's Cakes in Burbank, California.
